Letters to the INS - Joseph Heller - novelist

Heller's novel Catch-22 was published in 1961 and soon became an anti-war classic which has sold more than 10 million copies. In 1972 he was working on his follow-up novel, Something Happened, which appeared in 1974. Heller died in 1999.

Heller wrote, "I'm writing to express my horror at the difficulties John Lennon and Yoko Ono are having in their attempts to stay in the country."
